Petro Energy Project
RRC recently worked with Petro Energy, Sudan, to support their company doctors who wish to perform a more industrial focused occupational health role. Petro Energy E&P is an oil & gas operating company with the objective to explore, develop, and produce oil and gas in Sudan. Their doctors are based in multiple locations where Petro Energy operate and provide essential support to local communities and employees. In December 2012 Dr. Hitham Eltigani Adam (Health Section Head) approached RRC; with a specific set of requirements that focused on issues such as, the management of occupational health in the oil and gas industry, health risk assessments and health impact assessments. RRC’s team of tutors and course developers worked on these requirements to prepare a 10 day bespoke course with some external awards embedded where appropriate – CIEH HACCP Food Safety Systems. The project had three phases, during the first two phases, two sets of medical doctors attended training in Dubai. Finally RRC consultants will travel to Petro Energy’s facilities in Sudan to support the doctors in transferring the learning to their work place.
Hasan Alaradi MD of RRC Middle East commented that he was delighted to support the development of occupational health, and applauded Petro Energy for their commitment to the health of their workforce and local communities.
