    In terms of the project, we have now got to the stage where we have very nearly completed a full review of the proposed syllabus changes.  We’ve produced mapping documents for Units A and C which show not only what has changed and moved but where it has come from and, where the new content is likely to be sourced.  We’re working on this for unit B too (where the changes are more complex). We have restructured our unit A/IA PowerPoint slides and sent these to one of our writers.  Today he’s starting to review and add/amend content to create a draft of what the new materials would look like.…

    NEBOSH Diploma Syllabus Revision News #2

    Since the revised syllabi were released about 1 week ago, we’ve been busy evaluating the detail of the changes.  We’ve been going through the draft National Diploma Syllabus and comparing it to the current syllabus.  NEBOSH flag up a number of proposed changes already (using their colour coding system) but these don’t identify all changes by any means.  Hence the need to do a thorough analysis to make sure we aren’t missing anything. In the past the national and international syllabi were treated independently, so they have increasingly diverged.  That is set to change.  The updated syllabi show better alignment  between the national and international syllabi, for instance, we noticed…

    NEBOSH Diploma Syllabus Revision News #1

    NEBOSH started their second phase consultation on Friday 14th August. They issued course providers with revised syllabi for further consideration.  The proposed revisions take account of comments from employers, students, course providers and examiners.   The revised documents now contain concrete proposals for syllabus changes.  These changes may or may not make it into the final versions but it does at least give some insights into current thinking.
